(جامعالتواريخ (تاريخ سامانيان، بويهيان و غزنويان))
Rašīd al-Dīn Faḍlullāh Hamadānī (d. 718/1318), was a physician and historian who also served as the grand vizier to the Mongol ruler Ghāzān-Khān and to his successor, Uljāytū. He was kept in office during the early years of Abū Sa،īd’s rule. His great work of world history, entitled Jāmic al-Tawārīkh (A Compendium of Histories) was produced by a team of scholars and translators who worked under Rašīd al-Dīn’s supervision. The present volume narrates the history of the Samanid and Ghaznavids of Khurāsān and the Buyids of western and central Iran. It has been ably edited and annotated by Professor Mohammad Roshan, one of the most skillful Iranian textual critics, who has relied on a number of authoritative manuscripts for preparing this edition.
